Good afternoon, and welcome to Sunday News. Which is actually on Sunday for a change. Cruising on the sailboat is really putting a cramp in my blog schedule.
Let’s start with book winners!!
Congratulations also goes to the following ladies who won a copy of A Kiss for Lady Mary!! Jenna Jaxon, Carol Cork, Bonnie Kalter, Linda Thumb, and Jillian Esparza.
Hubby and I have been on the move for the past few weeks. When we arrived late into Charleston and it started to rain, then continued to rain for the next two days. We were able to take advantage of some sunny holes in the weather and take pictures.
Charleston has a street called Market St. What is interesting is that it is covered with a market that goes on for blocks.
It also has a lot of sweet shops, many who make their own candy. One even had button candy which some of you might remember.
The houses in Charleston are really lovely. I am particularly enthralled with the entrances that hide balconies.
I was also delighted to meet and have lunch with Bonnie Maestas and her two beautiful daughters!! I love meeting up with people, so let me know if you are in any of the places I’ll be. I have posted the list for this week at the end of the post.
We really like going off shore, but lately the winds have been on our nose. Therefore, we’ve been making our way up the ICW. Here are pictures of a couple of our anchorages.
We are in Myrtle Beach today, and will spend the night at the anchorage Calabash. Tomorrow, we’re headed for Wrightsville Beach, NC. Tuesday we’re hoping to have enough wind to sail to Beaufort, NC. Unless we have the weather to sail around Hatteras, we’ll be cruising through Oriental, Elizabethtown (if we go through the Dismal Swamp) then Norfolk, VA.
What have you been doing this week?
