It’s day 5 and things are slowing down a bit. I’ve also decided to only post the links that are live.

Today I’m on Romance at Random with a recipe for Kasknocken, and Romantic Reviews has posted their review of Desiring Lady Caro.

There was no excerpt to go with the recipe, so here it is.

“What is that?”

“It’s called Gröstel. I had it the last time. Very flavorful.” Huntley pointed to the small skillet in front of her. “That is Kasnocken. Small dumplings with cheese and onions. It’s quite good. Try it first and then, if you wish, you may have some of the Gröstel.”

Caro picked up her fork and took a bite. The tang of fried onions contrasted nicely with the nuttiness of the cheese. The noodles were softer than Italian pasta, and the cheese clung to them, infusing the noodles with flavor. This was so good. After she’d finished more than half of hers, Caro glanced longingly over to his. “May I taste some of that now?”

He speared some of it onto a fork and held it out to her. She closed her lips around it. The smoky flavor of streaky bacon mixed with fried egg and onions filled her senses as she chewed. She sighed. Not as good as the chocolate torte, but delightful all the same. “Wonderful.”

A smile pulled at his lips. “If I feed this to you, which I’m of half a mind to do, I’ll have every other husband here in trouble.”

Her eyes opened wide. “What do you mean?”

“Don’t look, but we’re the center of attention.”

She grinned as wickedly as she felt. “What if you fed me just one more bite?”

CongratulationsLet’s start with some winners.

Vesper has won Susana Ellis’s charm bracelet.

Jennifer L won Erica Monroe’s book, Dangerous Invitation,

and Joan O won Cara Elliott’s book, Scandalously Yours.

Congratulations ladies!!!!

I want to thank everyone who came by last Sunday. Your comments meant so much to me at a very difficult time.

When I’m upset I garden. We have one bed that runs along the living room that I’ve ignored for several years, but Anna’s death gave me the push I needed to clean it out and plant it. I’m not done yet, but you’ll see the difference.

Here are pictures of how it looked before.

This is how it looks now.

There’s still more work to do, but we’re getting there.

Magens has been going through some changes as well. The mangrove swamp has breached, sanded up, and repeated the cycle several times with all the rain.

A catamaran came to visit the other day.

The Temptation of Lady Serena

With all the turmoil I’d almost forgotten that The Temptation of Lady Serena releases on January 2d, just eleven more days! Then I received the review from Romantic Times, and a couple of other good reviews.

This is what RT had to say:

“This charming, sweet love story is the perfect addition to the Marriage Game series. Readers will enjoy the classic plotline with its stubborn alpha male hero, awkward heroine, misunderstandings, interference from loved ones and truly likable characters from previous novels — and the ultimate happily ever after.” – RT Book Reviews

Yesterday I found a fantastic and very funny review at Bodice Rippers, Femme Fatales, and Fantasy.

Another blog tour with giveaways will start on January 2d. I’ll post the tour dates here and on my website.

If you want to read the book, please pre-order. My publisher only keeps track of the numbers if the book shows movement before the release. Also, all pre-orders go on the first day statistics for ratings.

Have a wonderful week, and Happy Holidays.

Good morning. Congratulations to Eileen Dandashi for winning Regina Jeffers’s book!!

I’m on Bookworm 2 Bookworm blog today with a new excerpt from The Secret Life of Miss Anna Marsh, and a giveaway. They have also done a lovely review for the book. I’d love it if you stopped by.

It was a busy week. I had the copy-edits for Desiring Lady Caro due on Thursday. Then, as soon as I sent them in, my editor wanted the final manuscript for book #5.  Thanks to all of you, I have lots of good choices for title. I’ve already sent them to my editor. I’ll let you know as soon as he picks one.

The bay was pretty rough this week, so no sand castles or other art. This gives you an idea of the surf.

The waves have been so high, the sand started to bury the picnic table.

As you can see here, the outlet from the mangrove swamp is sanded in again.

We had a visiting catamaran.

Welcome back to Sunday News!

The Seduction of Lad#C46729As most of you know, it’s been a big week for me. My debut novel, The Seduction of Lady Phoebe, released on Thursday, and took off. By 3late that evening it was #23 on Amazon’s Hot New Historical Romance Releases, and climbed to 53 on their bestseller’s list in Regency. I could not have asked for a better debut!!

Heroes and Heartbreakers did a fabulous review. It’s here if you’d like to read it.

I was also on USA Today’s HEA.

For those who’d prefer print, the book is now out in paperback through Amazon.

I’ve joined with the wonderful Eileen Dreyer, Jade Lee, Jeannie Lin, and Sara Ramsey for a RomCon contest. The prize is a preloaded Kindle. Here is the first post.

I’m still on the release blog tour, and will post where I’ll be here. After that I’m back to my regular schedule.

The beach is changing again. If you remember last week, this part was completely full of water from the mangrove swamp.

I almost forgot, I received the cover blurb for the 4th book in The Marriage Game, Desiring Lady Caro, which means I should get the cover soon.  It will release in April. Here is the blurb.

Ella Quinn’s bachelors are clever, charismatic—and determined to remain single. Yet one by one, they find that fate—and certain irresistible women—cast doubt on even the best laid plans…

Haunted by her past, Lady Caroline Martindale fled England for the solace of her godmother’s palazzo in Venice. But if Caro was hoping to escape the charms of marriage-minded men, she’s come to the wrong place. And she’ll resort to extreme measures to spurn the advances of a dangerously determined Venetian marquis…

Though most of his friends have married off, Gervais, Earl of Huntley, remains bent on eluding the parson’s mousetrap. But his convictions begin to falter when he arrives in Venice and meets his match in the alluring Lady Caro. What began as a hastily concocted lie to save her from the marquis may become a chance for them both to relinquish their fear—and embrace what they can no longer deny…

What’s your week been like?

Have a great Sunday and a wonderful week!

No one has posted the last two Amazon links for the Temptation of Lady Serena. This is the last day for the links to be posted. Neither the iTunes or Barnes and Noble’s links are up yet. So there are still a few opportunities to win the book.

I do miss them.

I saw a bird I’ve never seen before. It looks like a type of egret, maybe a young one.  Anyway, he was perfectly happy for me to walk by, but when I took out my phone for a picture, he left.  I’d be grateful if anyone an identify him.

I received wonderful news this morning, The Secret Life of Miss Anna Marsh received a 5 star review from Liza O’Connor. Please stop by her blog and read it.

In case you didn’t hear, Anna Marsh also received a 4.5 star review from Carol Cook at Rakes and Scoundrels.

Between the blog tour and preparing for Nationals, I’ve been living life in the fast lane, so I’m taking a few days off. I’ll see you on Sunday for Sunday News!!

The 4th of July has special meaning to me. Not only did my husband and I serve in the military, but my ancestors fought in the Revolutionary War and almost every war since then.

Have a wonderful 4th and while your celebrating remember those men and women who risked their lives and livelihood for our freedom. Not only those who fought, but also the statesmen and diplomats whose efforts were just as important.
